3.5. SOMAY-Q Floor paint

Somay-Q’s proprietary adhesion technology ensures incredibly strong adhesion that will not delaminate for years. Just one coating process only. Repels black tire marks. Lowest cost solution by far.

This is a base paint line manufactured by Japanese company SOMAY-Q, which can be painted directly on dry concrete without having to use primer with strong adhesion, helping to reduce construction costs.

Application: Use to paint dry concrete floors or paint over old paint films bonded to the concrete layer.

Effective after using paint SOMAY-Q

Construction area: 1 box of 10kg can be painted 33m² of the floor for one layer of paint and 18m² for two layers.

Paint thickness: 211 μm for single coat and 387 μm for two coats.

Drying time: (In the temperature 20^oC, humidity 60%)

• Drying time for traveling: 8 hours
• Drying time for moving heavy objects: 24 hours

How to use:

1. Preparation: Completely remove dirt, mud, inert coating, and oil from the floor. For new concrete, remove the adhesive from the surface with sandpaper.
2. Mixing paint: Mix paint with hardener at a ratio of 1:1 for 2 minutes, and the amount of paint after mixing can be used for about 1 hour (At a temperature of 20^oC).
3. Painting: Use a brush or roller to paint. After applying the first layer for about 3 hours, apply the second coat and let it dry.
