(19:00 Hanoi time, May 12th, 2023) As scheduled, the bi-weekly progress meeting for the researcher in the STT Migas – SOLEN Joint Research Program 2023 was held. This was the first time for the researcher to report her progress since she has arrived to Balikpapan City (Indonesia) on May 7th, 2023.
After one week coming to STT Migas, the researcher has a chance to get to know about the School through various activities:
- Visiting STT Migas facilities including laboratories;
- Joining in lectures given in English medium by the School’s professor;
- Taking part in field trip to some research areas.
The researcher is expected to learn new knowledge from the School of Oil & Gas Mining Technology – which is completely different from her major in Environmental Management.
On March 04th, 2023, STT Migas and SOLEN has a hybrid signing ceremony for a 5-year MOU between the both sides. It is expected to create a good opportunity for experts, researchers, and students in Indonesia and Vietnam to delve into the search for sustainable solutions for pollution control and environmental management of the oil and gas industry. The Joint Research Program 2023 is as the first activity to make the MOU happened after the Kick-off Meeting for the collaboration of the both sides on November 1st, 2022.
