Hanoi, 11 Oct. 2022 (PM): SOLEN was honored to welcome Dr. Hendra WINASTU for a friendly visit at the company’s headquarters. Dr. Hendra WINASTU is an INDONESIAN who studied at the University of the Philippine-Diliman (UPD) (https://upd.edu.ph/) with the Director Hung of SOLEN, within the framework of the AUN/SEED-Net by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) (https://seed-net.org/). He is a passionate professional with more than 8 years of experience in the environmental field of the energy industry. Currently, he is the Deputy Manager of Watershed and Biodiversity Management Unit of Environmental Management Office at one of the hydropower projects in Lao PDR and a member of professional association, Indonesian Association of Geologist (IAGI).
During the talk, Dr. Hendra WINASTU together with SOLEN leaders discussed about promoting cooperation between members in the AUN/SEED-Net network as well as between SOLEN and the organizations whose the members are currently working in INDONESIA as well as in other ASEAN countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand,…). In addition, the expansion of cooperation with countries outside the region such as Japan, Taiwan, … will also be aimed. The promotion and expansion of this research collaboration aims to enhance the local resources through international experiences, mobilize multiple resources to deal with various environmental challenges at different scale and locality, and visioning the feasible and practical solutions for addressing the need of multiple stakeholders related with their environmental concerns.
