The lecture in the short course and ecotourism trip was delivered by Dr. Moe Thazin Shwe, an associate of SOLEN and a member of the International Project Cooperation Program (IPC). She is a Biologist and Environmental Engineer currently living and working in Myanmar.
The lecture was conducted online with the participation of SOLEN members, including official staff and interns, some members of the IPC, and other participants who learned about the lecture through SOLEN’s media channels.
The session aimed to share and discuss knowledge on topics such as:
- Understanding climate change and the ASEAN context
- The impacts of climate change and adaptation strategies
- Mitigation strategies and future directions

Session 3: Mitigation Strategies and Future Directions
Through the lecture, participants gained an understanding of the concepts of climate change, learned about its impacts on the ASEAN region, and discussed local challenges. Additionally, participants learned about emerging trends and future directions, enabling them to develop action plans to mitigate negative environmental impacts.
The course was successful thanks to the enthusiastic participation and engagement of all attendees.
