LECTURER INTRODUCTION – THE SHORT COURSE VIEWS AND VALUES OF NATURE

Dr. Moe Thazin Shwe, a distinguished scholar in the fields of biology and environmental engineering, is not only an Associate of SOLEN but also an outstanding member of the International Project Cooperation Program (IPC). Currently residing and working in Myanmar, she serves as a role model for dedication and passion in scientific research.

Having earned a Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy) in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) in 2014 and a MS (Master of Science) in Environmental Biotechnology from Mandalay Technological University in 2008, Dr. Moe has established a solid foundation for her research career. She has devoted eight years to studying biodegradable plastics, focusing not only on the degradation process but also on material modeling and biological wastewater treatment.

With years of teaching experience at prestigious universities, Dr. Moe currently works as a freelance lecturer, inspiring students with her passion for biology in IGCSE(1) classes. She is not only a scientist but also an inspiring mentor for the younger generation.

Given her enthusiasm, expertise, and valuable experience, Dr. Moe’s participation in the “Views and Values of Nature” course will undoubtedly contribute to shaping new perspectives and values aimed at protecting and enhancing the natural environment.

With her guidance, participants are sure to develop a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of humans and the environment.
