Ketsuronain paint has the following notable qualities:
- Moisture absorption ability: When the air is humid, the paint can absorb moisture. Up to 600 ml of condensate can be absorbed per square meter by a covering with a thickness of 1 mm. Once the water has been absorbed to saturation, it will stop absorbing moisture.

- Low thermal conductivity: Ketsuronain thermal conductivity is lower than that of conventional paints, so it is less affected by the temperature difference between outdoors and indoors and prevents dew condensation.
