SOLEN is opening up opportunities for young people who are passionate about the environment and science to participate in two of the most practical research topics in 2025: one is to explore the “emission footprint” of millions of motorbikes in Hanoi, the other is to apply nano-bubble technology – an advanced wastewater treatment trend in the world. These are not only two research projects, but also a journey for you to directly touch the hottest environmental issues today, contributing to creating solutions that can change the quality of life of the community. If you want to learn for real, do for real and create real value — SOLEN welcomes you.
1. Research topic:
Topic 1: Research on motorbike emissions in Hanoi
Every day in Hanoi, millions of motorbikes start their engines at the same time… which means millions of “invisible smoke” go into the air.
This topic helps us answer important questions:
How much are motorbikes emitting and how does it affect health?
Is there a way to reduce pollution without affecting people’s lives?
And more importantly: what solutions are really feasible?
You will directly participate in collecting data, analyzing data, going to the field on the roads, and helping to shape future policies.
Topic 2: Nanobubble technology in wastewater treatment
Nanobubble is a technology that is being pursued all over the world — and you have the opportunity to experience it in Vietnam. Currently, SOLEN owns the newest and first nanobubble technology product available in Vietnam. Therefore, join SOLEN to create breakthroughs from this new and superior technology.
Billions of bubbles, smaller than dust particles, penetrate each molecule of wastewater, helping to treat it cleaner, more economically and smarter.
This topic opens a journey to explore new technology: from reading and understanding technology, to operating equipment, to evaluating treatment efficiency.
If you like the experimental environment, like to “play” with equipment, like to make something that really makes a difference — choose this topic.
2. Benefits:
Become part of a project that has real value, not just a simulation exercise in class.
Learn skills: scientific research, writing international standard reports, data processing, survey design, teamwork.
Work in an environment where English is used regularly.
Have the opportunity to receive a graduation thesis directly related to the research you are participating in.
Experience the “fast – young – creative” working culture in the environmental industry.
And most importantly: see your efforts come to life.
3. Requirements:
Students majoring in environment, and other related majors…
Know how to search and synthesize documents in Vietnamese and/or English (an advantage).
Commit to accompanying for at least 6 months to deeply understand and create real value for the project.
Priority for you if:
You are in year 2-3 and want to receive a graduation thesis in the field of environment/emissions/wastewater.
You know SPSS, R, Matlab… or have analyzed data.
You have good English and like to read international documents.
You like to go to the field or do experiments.
