Regular meeting with SOLEN Associates from Lao PDR and Indonesia

(9:00AM, Hanoi time) As scheduled, we have a regular meeting with SOLEN Associates: Dr. Moe Thazin Shwe a Burmese expert from Myanmar and Dr. Hendra Winastu – an Indonesian expert living in Lao PDR. Continuing to the prvious podcast, the meeting has been continued to discuss on the solid waste management topic in which Dr. Moe has finished a survey in Myanmar with hundreds of respondents. We are going to extend the survey to other places in the ASEAN region, for examples, in Balikpapan city – the new Capital of Indonesia and in Hanoi – the Capital of Vietnam where SOLEN headquarters. During the meeting, Mr. Hung – SOLEN Director has also shared weekly activities of SOLEN in its Hanoi office: The MOU signing ceremony with STT Migas (Balikpapan city, Indonesia), project proposal in recycling plastic waste using Mozowood and/or Fluff Fuel technologies from Japan, etc. Also, one updated news about forest fires in Lao PDR has been shared by Dr. Hendra with the AQI observed in the thousand level which is extremely harmful to the living things. Based on that, the next topic for SOLEN podcast could be about the air quality in the region being shared by Mr. Hung. Please stay tuned for our new podcast to be published in the next few days.
