On February 27, 2024, as Kyoto University’s Alumni member, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, director of SOLEN, attended an Evening gathering among Alumni members of Kyoto University.
In addition, on February 28, 2024, Mr. Hung attended the 19th Southeast Asia Network Forum with the theme of International Collaboration towards Sustainability and Environmental Studies organized by Kyoto University at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). The forum discussed the collaboration and academic activities of Kyoto University and Southeast Asia countries towards sustainable development and a sustainable environment. The forum had the participation of many professors and lecturers from Kyoto University and universities in Southeast Asia, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The topic of giant salamanders was also popularized in the Forum to spread the word about exotic animals. The poster on this topic was translated by SOLEN during the Kyoto University’s references hosted in 2023. SOLEN hopes this will be the first movement to have more opportunities to cooperate with Kyoto University on suitable projects.
