- The purpose is to assess and predict potential adverse impacts on the Environment and society and develop appropriate mitigation measures documented in Environment and Social Management and Monitoring Plan (ESMMP);
- Most countries have adequate legal requirements to ensure proper EIA implementation.
So, more specifically, how is an environmental impact assessment performed? What are the specific criteria for a complete report? Is there any difference between this EIA activity in Vietnam and other countries such as Laos?

He is the Deputy Head of the Environmental Management Department at one of the hydropower projects in Lao PDR and a member of the Professional Association, Association of Indonesian Geologists (IAGI).
