The first lesson was taught by Dr. Laÿna Droz – Assistant Professor of Global Environmental Studies at the University of Tokyo was held online with the participation of SOLEN members, including full-time staff and interns; some members in IPC & CKC.
The class aims to share and discuss knowledge surrounding issues such as:
- Definition and surrounding contents of “biodiversity, climate change, disease”. The impact of biological imbalance on nature, especially causing climate change and disease;
- The concept of “environmental ethics”. Some examples of laws related to biodiversity conservation;
- Introducing some reports of IPCC & IPBES.
Dr. Laÿna Droz and the members of SOLEN also had a very interesting outing before class at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long – a famous historical tourist destination in Hanoi:
