Meet Dr. Hendra Winastu, SOLEN Principal Associate, IPC Panel Coordinator

Dr. Hendra Winastu is an Indonesian scholar who studied at the University of the Philippine-Diliman (UPD) (https://upd.edu.ph/) within the framework of the AUN/SEED-Net by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) (https://seed-net.org/). He is a passionate professional with years of experience in academia as master and PhD researcher in environmental engineering field; in consulting services as senior environmental specialist focusing on environmental assessment, management, and monitoring; as well as in the energy sector as part of the management team looking after the impact mitigation, management, and monitoring of the Project operation.

 

Currently, he is the Deputy Manager of the Environmental Management Office at one of the hydropower projects in Lao PDR and a member of the professional association, Indonesian Association of Geologists (IAGI). His area of expertise is Project Management, environmental informatic, environmental assessment-compliance-management-monitoring, and watershed and biodiversity management.

With his excellent expertise and extensive research experience, he envisioned the importance of environmental quality for the sustainable livelihoods of people within the Southeast Asia region. This became the premise to establish long-term cooperation among relevant stakeholders in the region starting with International Project Collaboration (IPC) between SOLEN JSC. and its potential partners. He is currently working together with SOLEN JSC. colleagues as one of SOLEN-IPC board for a joint research and establishing long term partnership with Sekolah Tinggi Teknik Minyak dan gas (STT Migas) Indonesia.
