Meeting on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) between SOLEN and Junk&Co Vietnam Joint Stock Company on May 9, 2024

According to Article 54 of the Environmental Protection Law 2020 and guiding documents, organizations and individuals are responsible for collecting, recycling, and processing the products they produce or put on the market, instead of only focusing on the production process (provisionally called EPR – Extended Producer Responsibility).

New regulations related to EPR create direct challenges and opportunities for related organizations and individuals in Vietnam. Today, May 9, 2024, SOLEN had a meeting with Junk&Co. Vietnam, a Japanese-invested company operating in the field of recycling in Vietnam, about their opportunities and challenges related to this new term, especially as an enterprise operating in Vietnam direct activities in the field of recycling and waste collection.

The two sides had open and effective discussions on related issues. SOLEN hopes to be able to accompany Junk&Co. in particular and individuals and organizations involved in producing, importing, and recycling, in general, to effectively implement regulations, solve challenges, and take advantage of opportunities related to EPR in Vietnam.
