One way to describe the intern “Ngoc Thao” of the SOLEN family is “smart, quick, and kind.”
Thao is majoring in environmental management while attending Hanoi University of Science and Technology, one of the top engineering schools in Vietnam. In social activities, Thao is engaged in volunteer work and has participated in the school’s “Green Summer” program.
Thao started working for SOLEN as a research student intern right after it was founded. Thao is continuing to nurture herself with a lot of knowledge and experience to improve herself and finish the assigned work thanks to the knowledge she learned in school and her drive to study and discover new things:
- Research how motorcycle emissions affect air pollution;
- Investigate and propose a project on Mekong Delta ecosystem protection and saltwater intrusion;
- Research and project proposal for a “Village of Innovation in Plastic Recycling.”
Since day one, Thao has assisted other new interns and staff members at the organization. He also makes everyone smile after a long day at the office. Thao has been cultivating more knowledge and experience to increase her capacity and provide more value for herself and the community. She does this out of love for the environment and young enthusiasm. Additionally, bring SOLEN closer to possible environmental partners along with other members, strengthening SOLEN’s position on both the domestic and global markets.
